Online ASHA Certificate Course started for Capacity Development Training

SRHU, Eco India will jointly provide online training to ASHAs

Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Jolly Grant and Uttarakhand National Health Mission have started an online ASHA Certificate Course in collaboration with Eco India to improve the performance of ASHAs of Dehradun district. Its objective is to train ASHAs at their home. 50 ASHA workers of Dehradun district participated in the program.

Addressing the online launching program, the chief speaker, Director of National Health Mission Uttarakhand, Dr. RK Singh said that the capacity development training given to ASHAs for the next six months by Rural Development Institute (RDI) and Eco India from SRHU is a good initiative. He called upon the ASHAs to join the training in a timely manner so that both their capacity and ability can be increased.

Eco India's General Manager Deepa Jha said that with the helpo f the team of SRHU experts in the field of maternal and child health, a good result will undoubtedly be seen. State Community Process Officer Dr. Ajay highlighted the maternal and child health activities of the state.

Dr. Rajiv Bijalwan from Gramya Vikas Sansthan stated that Gramya Vikas Sansthan has been working for ASHAs for many years. Along with giving information regarding training, he gave detailed information about the work done by the institute as the State ASHA Resource Center. The program was conducted by Eco India's Manager Gurdeep Birla. During this, apart from Dr. Neha, Dr. Vidisha Ballabh, Neelam Pandey, Ravindra Verma, the team of gynecologists, pediatricians and community medicine of Himalayan Hospital were present.
